Julie Batty and Jamie Pygas were on hand to talk about the software and services on offer through NL Managed Services. They highlighted the ways in which NHS organisations can manage their demand more effectively and share best practice through proven case studies. Luckily they also provided a little sustenance to the 350 delegates through the ample supply of chocolate available!

NHS Trusts are under unprecedented pressure to reduce their temporary staffing spend against a backdrop of growing demand for NHS services. At the same time, NHS organisations continue to face increasing expenditure on agency workers across all staff groups, leading to multi-billion pound spend last financial year.

Despite increasing pressure from government, NHS Trusts have struggled to reduce their spend due to a variety of factors. As a result, measures have been introduced to mandate the use of approved frameworks and agency rates have been capped.

A report today has highlighted the number of EU staff leaving NHS England rose sharply in the months following the Brexit vote.
